The Challenge
Producing an ambitious independent animated feature that blends multiple animation techniques while building an original cinematic universe from the ground up.
Our Role
Gasolina Studios is leading the film from development through production, overseeing creative direction, production strategy, financing, and the coordination of an international team across every stage of the project.
The Solution
We designed a hybrid production pipeline that seamlessly integrates 2D, 3D, and other manual techniques of animation, allowing each sequence to use the technique that best serves the story while maintaining a cohesive visual identity.
The Outcome
The Last Wave is currently in production as Gasolina’s flagship feature film, demonstrating our ability to develop original IP, manage complex long-form productions, and bring together artists, partners, and technologies to create ambitious animated storytelling.
